ConNEXTions Foundation Celebrates Rising Star: Jakyi Miles Named Freshman of the Year

The ConNEXTions Foundation is proud to spotlight one of our outstanding student-athletes, Jakyi Miles, who has recently been named Freshman of the Year by MaxPreps. Representing Mesa High School, Jakyi has proven himself to be a standout both on and off the basketball court.

As a ConNEXTions Foundation mentee, Jakyi embodies what it means to be a leader, scholar, and athlete. His dedication to excellence in athletics and academics reflects the mission of our organization — to empower young people through education, mentorship, and community involvement.

Wearing jersey number 2 for Mesa, Jakyi has captured attention not only with his dynamic performance during his freshman basketball season, but also through his commitment to personal growth and leadership development. With explosive talent, discipline, and a mindset rooted in perseverance, he represents the next generation of greatness.

A Model of Academic and Athletic Excellence

Jakyi's recognition as Freshman of the Year is more than a title — it’s a testament to the hard work, balance, and focus required to excel as a student athlete. Through the support of his coaches, mentors, and the ConNEXTions Foundation, he’s paving the way for a bright future that reaches beyond sports.

Inspiring the Next Generation

At ConNEXTions, we believe in fostering future leaders. Jakyi’s journey serves as an inspiration to his peers and a shining example of what happens when talent meets opportunity. His story encourages other young athletes to aim higher, stay grounded, and believe in their potential.
